Chinese Week of Confucius Institute at Rhodes University (CIRU) ends with a flourish
Chinese Week, an annual event held in Confucius Instittue at Rhodes University (CIRU) since its founding in 2008 has become one of the CIRU traditions. The Chinese Week held between September 27 to October 1 provided a mutli-angel exhibition to the Chinese culture and language, the development of Chinese society and the achievements attained by the CIRU on Chinese studies. Besides a series of exhibitions such as photo exhibitions on Chinese books and cultural articles, photo exhibitions on the Chinese hitorical cutural tour, etc, the activities of the event include symposium, translation contest on Chinese poems, performance on poetry readings and a series of performance given by Art Troupe of Jinan University.
