Responsibility for the Life

The students, Liu Feng and He Xiaobo took the risk of life to save two girls, who were trapped in the Songhua River on March 8, 2008. However, they didn t tell others ?their good and brave behavior after they returned back. It was not until the parents of two girls came to HIT for expressing their thankfulness on March 10 for Liu Feng and He Xiaobo that the teachers and students knew that they had done such a brave thing.

On that day, Liu Feng and He Xiaobo heard the cry of help on their way to the Northern bank of Songhua River. They ran to the site of accident immediately, and saw two girls scrabbling in the cold water. A girl was struggling for survive, and the other seemed having no strength to continue to move. Liu Feng and He Xiaobo took the great risk to get close to the girls and finally succeeded dragging them out of the water. They took them to the safe place, and left after they had made sure that the girls were safe.

Liu Feng and He Xiaobo have said, It is our responsibility to do this. Although it is quite dangerous, we don t regret because it is worthy. Besides, we realize the value of youth and life. We will work harder and harder to realize the great value of our youth. ?/DIV>
