Responding to the rising twin birthrate, infant apparel producer Babytease has introduced new t-shirts and hats made especially for twins.
“Statistics indicate more than 65,000 sets of twins are born in North America each year which means there are at least half a million toddler twins under four years old,” said Anne Jackson, Babytease co-founder. “We thought it would be a fun niche market to go after.”
Toddler t-shirts and baby onesies sport slogans such as “ex-wombmate”, bibs say “feed me first” and a set of hats includes one that says “cut” and another that says “paste”.
In addition, Babytease has just introduced a new design to its existing baby and toddler line that pokes fun at our designer coffee culture. The black and green graphic sports a baby wearing a crown and the slogan: “Make Mine a Latte.”
“Our current bestseller is a spoof of a music device - we hope our “homage” to coffee will have similar appeal,” Jackson said.
Sold online at babyteaswear.com and through retailers across Canada, the baby wear line consists of casual cotton apparel in a range of pastel and primary colours that pokes fun at the daily trials and tribulations of new moms and dads. Each item sports a clever slogan on a high quality garment made in North America in a sweatshop-free environment.
