Brazilian companies have yet another opportunity to expand their consumer market.
From March 5 to 8, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), will be taking a group of companies to participate in the main multi-sectoral trade fair in Panama, the World Commerce Show Case (Expocomer).
This year´s event is expected to create direct and future opportunities worth US$ 20 million for the Brazilian food, fashion (textiles, jewelry and footwear), home and civil construction, and chemicals sectors.
Apex-Brasil has been helping Brazilian companies take part in this event since 2003. The Brazilian pavilion at the 2008 fair will cover an area of 630 square meters, with room for products to be displayed and an eating area called Bar Brasil where participants will be able to sample Brazilian food and drinks.
Last year Expocomer brought together 527 exhibitors from 37 countries, such as Taiwan, China, Mexico and the United States, and generated around US$ 127 million in business for the participant companies. On that occasion, the sectors supported by Apex-Brasil closed deals on the spot worth around US$ 2.8 million.
The Agency´s support for Brazilian companies at the World Commerce Show Case – EXPOCOMER aims to raise the profile of Brazilian brands on the international market, create business opportunities for participants and, by doing so, boost the image of the quality of Brazilian products on the Panamanian market.
