The week long annual exhibition organized by the Chennai based Marketing Organization Of Women Entrepreneurs (MOOWES) was recently inaugurated by the chair person of the Vishranti Charitable Trust, Ms Savithri Vaithi.
MOOWES is a voluntary organization that develops and provides support to women entrepreneurs more particularly in textiles & handicrafts.
Speaking on the occasion Ms Savithri said that women had proved their talent across a range of professions. General Manager of the District Industries Centre, N Bangovan, spoke about the self employment & development schemes available for entrepreneurs.
The week long exhibition features products manufactured by the members and marketed by the organization such as jute bags, jewellery and home linen and many more. The collection also includes cotton saris with embroidery work, designer saris & dress material.
The exhibition is being held at the Vijayaraja Marriage Hall in Shastri Nagar, Adyar.
