Swedish fashion label Filippa K continues its Dutch expansion by opening a uniquely designed concept store in Rotterdam. The Netherlands has become the company’s largest market outside Scandinavia and more Dutch stores are planned for the future.
Following two successful Filippa K concept stores in Amsterdam, Filippa K continues to expand in the Netherlands with a new concept store on the up and coming van Oldenbarneveltstraat street in Rotterdam.
This new store will carry a wide selection of men’s, women’s and accessories from Filippa K - known for a distinct Scandinavian design style that combines minimal urban elegance with high fashion.
Designed by longtime Filippa K collaborator Aaro Arkitekter, the 130 m2 store is all about light and space - with clean horizontal lines and playful contrasts between depth and surfaces. There is a sophisticated, minimalist elegance to the space, juxtaposed with decorative details and natural materials to create a peaceful ambience of style, simplicity and quality.
The subdued white walls, clean Cyrian surfaces and white Carrera marble floors has been carefully combined with sensual elements like natural sisel hemp and soft grey wool. The Netherlands has become Filippa K’s largest market outside of Scandinavia and the company plans to further continue its expansion in the Netherlands.
In addition to the concept stores in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, the company is already looking at the Hague. Filippa K is also represented by some 76 selected retailers throughout the Netherlands.
