India : Indian Handicrafts & Gifts Fair kicks off today

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) operating under the Exim Policy of Government of India has organized the 24th edition of the prestigious ‘Indian Handicrafts & Gifts Fair Autumn 2007’ on October 16, at the India Expo Centre, New Delhi.
Shri Shankersinh Vaghela, the Union Minister of Textile will inaugurate the celebrated event at 5.00 pm, today evening.
Spanning an area of 97,000 square meters, the three day expo will showcase thousands of products like metal ware, wood ware, hand printed textiles, embroidered articles, artistic handmade jewelry, lace and embroidery crafted stones, jute and papier machine from more than 1800 leading Indian manufacturers and exporters of handicrafts and gifts.
This exposition, a confluence of art, craft and traditional skills will act as an ideal platform for buyers from across the world.
