Zurich is crazy about fashion. On Friday 9th November 2007, the Swiss Textile Federation and the women’s magazine annabelle will be staging the Stella Fashion Night fashion event.
Two fashion sponsorship prizes will be awarded at the event. For what is now the eighth time, the Swiss Textiles Award will be conferred on an international upcoming designer.
This year’s finalists come from Sweden, England, Portugal, Germany and Austria. The annabelle award will be given to a talented young Swiss designer.
The event, featuring an exclusive fashion show, will be held on the 9th of November 2007 in the Toni Event Hall in the trend-setting district of Zurich-West.
Special guests on the evening will include last year’s winner of the Swiss Textile Award, Bruno Pieters, while the annabelle Award will be given away by designer Tommy Hilfiger.
The Swiss Textile Federation and the women’s magazine annabelle are organising what is now the third Stella Fashion Night (formerly known as the Stella Contemporary Fashion Awards) – a glamorous event dedicated to fashion.
The event is supported by Globus, swiss+cotton and the Zurich Silk Association. The event represents the Swiss Textile Federation’s opportunity to confer its Swiss Textiles Award on a talented upcoming designer.
The prize has now become one of the most significant in the world, and the prize money of Euro 100,000 will help the winner achieve a breakthrough in an important stage of their career.
The sum is not paid in cash, but instead is awarded in the form of substantial support through services such as the procurement of Swiss fabrics or finance, for example for press activities, the production of collections or the organisation of shows.
