Switzerland : High speed textile machineries maker takes stake in Deimo

Stäubli has acquired a stake in Deimo S.p.A based in Brescia, Italy. Deimo and Stäubli have known each other for many years and share a strong commitment to innovation and technology.
The acquisition of a stake sets the basis for developing a relationship of mutual benefit, combining Deimo’s engineering capacities and product range with the needs of Stäubli. Deimo will carry on supplying the products and services to its existing customers.
With a workforce of 40 Deimo engages in engineering consultancy, design and production of electronic boards and controllers for the textile machinery industry.
Deimo’s product range includes complete automation solutions for the electronic control of textile machinery such as knitting and weaving machines.
The Italian company was founded in 1981 by the Mattia family and has subsidiaries in Hong Kong, mainland China and Korea.
The facility in Brescia and the Deimo brand will be maintained. Mario Mattia will continue to assume operating responsibilities as CEO of Deimo.
