After a February session marked by the successful installation of the exhibition in Hall 5 of the Parc d’Expositions, Paris-Nord Villepinte next to Première Vision, the next edition of Expofil, which will take place from 18 to 21 September 2007, is announced with encouraging signs.
The development of the textile industry in the last few years forced the exhibition to adapt its plan and add the finishing touches to its strategy. From now on, Expofil, being more integrated at the heart of Premiere Vision Pluriel, is an essential element with a yarn and fibre offering at the origin of all creations.
The exhibition is an international event in more than name. Originating from 17 countries, the exhibitors come from all horizons and visitors also include a very high proportion of international buyers.
47 spinners and fibre producers are registered to date, compared to 42 last February, of which 4 are new exhibitors, listed below:
• AVS SPINNING (Belgium): a spinner belonging to the Symaco group, the leader in mass dyed open-end yarns, using mostly 100% Lenzing viscose or a mixture with polyester (un-dyed or mass dyed), linen, or flame retardant fibres. Their range of colours includes more than 12,000 references.
• BORCKENSTEIN (Austria): a spinner specialising in yarns based on cellulose fibres (viscose, Modal, Tencel…), polyester and polyamide, mixed with natural fibres (wool, silk, cashmere, cotton). The main markets include underclothing and sportswear, and functional and furnishings fabrics.
