A variety of quality wool products manufactured by crofters, spinners and designers was displayed last Friday at the Islesburgh Community Centre in Lerwick, located in Shetland.
Organic wool producers are planning to enter into the apparel and garment market in order to promote their unique product by creating a Shetland brand and gaining better prices for their wool.
There are around 10 organic wool producers delivering about two tons of raw materials per annum for the growing market in the region.
Karen Bruce, the local designer whose medieval-looking kilt made from un-dyed organic Shetland wool was presented by model Hannah Uttley at the event.
