Urban Expositions will put a special focus on Home Furnishings Fabrics as the newest key growth area for the September 25-27, 2007 edition of Material World New York at the Jacob K. Javits Center.
Home Furnishings Fabrics now joins four other special focus areas for the 2007 New York edition, including Eco-Friendly, Performance, Design & Merchandising Solutions and Product Lifecycle Management.
Together, these five sectors will be emphasized with dedicated educational programming, special promotions and new product resources. Joining Material World’s expansive exhibitor base of 475-plus companies, including Global Pavilions, these new initiatives come together to create a comprehensive global fabric, sourcing and trend exhibition for the New York marketplace.
International in scope, the home furnishings offerings will come from many domestic suppliers and other countries and regions around the globe. “Many of our current exhibitors who already serve the home furnishings market as well as the apparel market, will benefit from the expanded sales opportunities" says Tim von Gal, president, Material World.
“Home furnishings attendees will have the chance to explore these domestic and international resources while also getting an inside look at breaking home colors, trends, textures and fabrics.”
The representation of home furnishings at Material World New York will include a variety of mills, converters, leather and trimming manufacturers showcasing product in a wide variety of categories, including cottons, chenille, chintzes, velvets, faux fabrics, flocks, jacquards, leather, sheeting, tapestries, bed/bath/linen manufacturers, retailers, interior designers, jobbers and over the counter businesses.
