ACIMIT (the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) and ICE (the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade) will hold two technological workshops on Italian textile machinery in Brazil. The workshops will occur in Blumenau (November 27th) and San Paolo (November 29th).
During these workshops ACIMIT will give a description of Italian textile machinery industry, explaining the factors that make Italy a leading producer in this sector. To follow some leading Italian manufacturers will introduce to Brazilian managers and textile operators their updated technologies for textile sector.
The workshops are part of a promotional program that ACIMIT and ICE have been realizing for many years in order to strengthen the links between Italian textile technology providers and the local textile operators.
Brazilian textile industry is among the ten first realities of textile/clothing worldwide with about 30,000 companies that occupy 1.6 million workers.
The strong international competition has made necessary, during the last few years, a settled policy of investments in order to modernize the existing technology. In this context the Italian textile machinery industry is one of the main partners of the Brazilian textile companies.
Today Brazil represents the sixth foreign market for the Italian textile manufacturers. In 2006 the Italian sales reached a value of 57 million euro, while in the first six months of 2007 the Italian export were about 28 million euro, with an increase of 30% on the same period of 2006. The most requested Italian machinery were the knitting ones (38%) and the finishing ones (21%).
Quality, creativity, reliability and technology are the most appreciated features of Italian textile machinery industry also in the Brazilian market.
The Brazilian operators invited to these workshops will be able to verify once more the quality of Italian supply, provided by more than 300 companies that produce machinery for a value of 2,700 million euro, 78% of which is realized abroad.
