Design concept
The colour concept of the ESS Apparel and Underwear Collection expresses the bicoloured melange of all product groups. Vivid Cranberry and Fuego will be combined with classic black and warm natural colours like Hortensia and Trueblue are ideal with Graphite and Sailor. Dragonfly and Sailor as well as Steel and Graphite set a hibernal, dynamic accent.
Apparel SNOW – new Tech-Shirt with Outlast
The new Second Layer Finja/Malte is the highlight of the Apparel SNOW Collection – an innovative Tech Shirt, for the first time completely made of Outlast. This material originally developed for aerospace is able to absorb excess body heat generated during physical activity, distribute it inside the fabric and, when needed, return it to the body once again. This principal is based on microencapsulation technology. Microscopically tiny capsules are deposited in the fibres.
The microcapsules contain paraffin-like substances that are subsequently able to change their physical state. As soon as the body temperature is lower than the Outlast layer, the stored heat is returned to the body. This change takes place within a temperature range that corresponds to the ideal skin temperature.
The skin’s microclimate is constantly held in proper balance, thereby decisively improving general well-being during sports activities. A comfortable side effect is the reduction in sweat production Outlast feels soft and warm.
The seamless processing prevents chafing for optimal freedom of movement. The discrete rib structure as well as mesh zones in the arm, stomach and back area ensure optimal heat management and the volume structures on shoulders a sportive-dynamic design. Finja/Malte can be perfectly worn under bodycontoured jackets thanks to its cut.
Yoga/Fitness – smooth transition to sportive lifestyle
The Yoga/Fitness range successfully launched in Spring/Summer 2008 will be expanded in the forthcoming Fall/Winter season. In order to better meet the different trends in Yoga, Dance and Fitness, FALKE will complement its range by four shirts, two pants and a stretch jacket featuring ingenious drapings, layerings and flounces.
The new styles perfectly combine traditional Asian accents with lifestyle elements of western modern trends. The environmentally-friendly bamboo materials are antibacterial and ensure excellent moisture management thanks to high absorption.
