Vietnam : Viet Chung fashion line portrays war-time era

Recently, Vo Viet Chung one of the leading fashion designers of Vietnam launched his latest collection under the name of Phuong Sai Gon. With this line he tried to display the style of 40s and 50s era.
This collection showcase a fusion of contemporary and vintage style based on fashion of Sai Gon ladies in prevailing during the US–Vietnam war time.
According to Vo Viet Chung, the idea for this collection initiated when he met an actress acting as Phuong in famous film ‘American Silent’.
Vo Viet Chung in this fashion line used locally produced materials are silk and voan fabric and the colour palette varied with the usage of lots of reds, pinks, blues and whites.
