An exhibition on formal wear that started on November 27 is held at the Alliance Francaise and will be open for public till the 29th of this month.
The collection is largely inspired from the stucco decoration of 18th century palaces and churches of German Late Baroque.
Designer of the collection made generous use of a combination from constructed and painted architecture.
Besides, she has literally transformed painted architecture into screen printing and constructed designs into embroidery. It was therefore, not surprising to see visitors appreciating the work with accolades for the designer. She really did a marvelous job by abstracting architectural ideas and imprinting it on fabrics.
The expo would also feature heavily ornamented gowns, dupattas and shoes reflecting the same Victorian designs. A perfect finishing of the products gave an impression that they were machine made but the designer assured the embroidery work to have absorbed complete manual hard work.
