Expovest announced the launching of two new apparel fairs this year: FENIM Spring-Summer (National Fashion Industry Fair) and FENIM High Summer.
The first will be held June 17-20 in Gramado, and the second will be at the Pernambuco Convention Center, September 2-4.
“The market was asking for these fairs, and after two years, we were able to make them reality. The FENIM High Summer is already completely sold out, with 380 exhibiters.
FENIM Spring-Summer should have a few more exhibiters than the winter edition, which has 780 companies, mainly because the area cannot handle all that many.
Besides that, it is not interesting to share buyer interest with too many stands,” explains Júlio Viana, an Expovest partner.
The FENIN (National Winter Fashion Fair, which shall change its name replacing the “N” to “M” like the other two fairs, is the largest apparel fair in the country, attracting nearly 40 thousand national and international visitors.
According to Viana, business tourism plus the invitation made to more than 6 thousand buyers, paying for their stays at good hotels, and a mix of different segments, has become the formula for success that is being exported to the other fairs.
"The buyers who travel on business also want to take advantage to enjoy themselves, go to good restaurants, visit sites and relax during their free time.
That is an attraction we will have at our Fair here in Gramado and in Recife as well.” Expovest intends to hold at least two more FENIM Spring-Summer editions in Gramado, but due its size, it should be moved to another state.
"I am thinking about taking the Fair to a more central location in the country, perhaps the Rio Centro in Rio de Janeiro," he declared.
