The highlight of the collection was white, blue, grey, brown, with touches of pink, purple, orange and some green, rust, and yellow for Jyotee Khaitan’s fashion offering titled “Faux Bauhaus Chic”. The theme was an inspiration of the German movement with touches of the plantation workers’ look that came together very well for summer wear. The silhouettes were comfortable with churidars and pants teamed with fluid tops; while Zouave shapes for the trousers went very well with the asymmetric tops. The occasional sari drapes and delightful pleating and surface texturing were discreetly done for linen, georgette, chiffon, net and comfortable handloom fabrics.
