Field consultants will brief booth visitors on pilot programs and discuss implementation strategies

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — April 15, 2009 —Managers responsible for selecting, implementing or managing item-level RFID programs will be able to learn how RFID works at the item level, gain a better understanding of whether RFID item-level processing is right for their particular store operations and hear about successful pilot programs from Avery Dennison Retail Information Services experts at RFID Journal Live! The conference will be held from April 27 – 29, at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Orlando, Fla.

At the show, Avery Dennison will occupy Booth 833. Editors are invited to interview Avery Dennison managers.
The Company’s presence at the show will also include product demonstrations and discussions covering numerous aspects of RFID in the apparel/retail environment, according to Mark Thomas, Avery Dennison’s RFID marketing manager, Americas.

“We will have demonstration models on hand that allow visitors to see exactly how the item-level process works,” Thomas says, adding that programs are currently operating at major retailers, such as Marks & Spencer, American Apparel and Throttleman.

Thomas notes that ROI will be a major theme at Avery Dennison’s booth. “The issue of ROI is central to any discussion of RFID,” he says. “We have case studies and quantitative data that persons investigating RFID performance versus payback will find of particular value. We will show how RFID has cost-efficiently increased sales, facilitated better use of human resources and reduced shrink. Plus, our consultants will talk one-on-one with visitors about Avery Dennison’s Item-level RFID ROI Analysis Program.”

Show attendees planning to visit Avery Dennison’s booth are encouraged to have with them estimates of their stores’ SKU and product turnover volume. The data will enable Avery Dennison specialists to provide additional RFID insights and recommendations.
