ELIGIBLE companies in Shenzhen can book round-trip train tickets for their migrant workers for the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday from Tuesday, Guangzhou Railway Group announced Wednesday.
The 2011 Chinese Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, falls on Feb. 3, and the one week holiday lasts from Feb. 2, the Lunar New Year s Eve, to Feb. 8.
Hard-seat tickets for temporary trains for the Spring Festival travel season departing Shenzhen can be booked for the pre-festival period from Jan. 19 to Feb. 1. So can post-festival return tickets from Feb. 6 to Feb. 15 from 15 stations in Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces.

To be eligible for the group booking service, enterprises must have at least 100 migrant workers certified by labor authorities and are going to book more than 20 tickets for the same train, the same destination and the same departure date, Guangzhou Railway Group said.
The railway group will set up counters at eight railway stations in Guangdong including Shenzhen and Guangzhou for group bookings.
Employers are required to produce a range of documents, including written applications, business licenses and certificates from the labor authorities.
It opened a hotline (020) 6132-3039 for complaints about companies scalping tickets.
