SHENZHEN Intermediate People s Court has sentenced two men to death with a two-year suspension after they were found guilty of trafficking more than 48 kilograms of drugs, Shenzhen Customs said Thursday.
The two men, identified only as Zeng and Zhen, had accomplices carry methamphetamine, also known as ice, from the mainland to Hong Kong in 2008.
Shenzhen Customs anti-smuggling police started an investigation in mid-December 2008, after Hong Kong Customs questioned a drug dealer who had contacts in Shenzhen.
Police arrested the two men in the early hours March 21 last year, seizing more than 2,354 grams of ice and 9.7 grams of caffeine. Two other traffickers were sentenced to 15 and 10 years in prison.
