PROMINENT board secretaries, chartered financial analysts (CFA) and China s IT person of the year are regarded as eligible for a series of subsidies, the city s human resources and social security administration said Monday following the Jan. 1 release of qualification standards.
Shenzhen is the first city in China to establish detailed professional qualification standards for outstanding and pioneering professionals, as well as elementary, medium and exceptional talent. Pioneering professionals are subdivided into State, local and supporting talent.
CFAs listed by the New Fortune magazine and prominent board secretaries selected by the magazine are qualified local pioneering talent.
China s IT person of the year and heads of research and development organizations dealing with government-sponsored biological, new energy or Internet projects are qualified for supporting pioneer talent. The detailed standards were aimed at boosting the strategic development of emerging industries, the administration said.
Those that meet qualification requirements should apply but need to be approved. Once approved, outstanding and pioneering professionals are eligible for a series of subsidies and favorable policies in housing, children s education, spouse employment and academic research.
Elementary, medium and exceptional talents were eligible for housing subsidies, the administration said.
Outstanding talent was considered the highest professional level. Nobel Prize winners, CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) and CAE (Chinese Academy of Engineering) academics qualify as outstanding talent.
Detailed qualification standards are available on the administration s Web site at http://www.szhrss.gov.cn.
