SHENZHEN began accepting applications for government public rental housing for professionals working for local companies in the city.
The companies are mainly from the city s four pillar industries high-tech, modern finance, modern logistics and the modern cultural industry. Another 23 were from scientific research and education institutions.
Leading scientists or highly qualified professionals recognized by city government would be provided with a 150-to-200-sqm apartment for free.
Professionals with senior titles can apply for a government rental apartment or receive a subsidy of between 1,500-2,000 yuan (US$227-302) a month for no more than three years. Doctorate holders, master degree holders and college graduates can apply for housing subsidies of 200 to 500 yuan a month.
