MORE than 20 passengers were injured in a collision involving three buses at a bus stop in Luohu District yesterday.
The collision happened when the driver of a No. 27 bus probably mistakenly stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake when the bus approached the Changling Bus Stop at Luosha Road at 10:10 a.m., a witness surnamed Zhao told the Shenzhen Daily yesterday.
The bus hit a No. 113 bus which then hit a 308 bus.
Most of the injured were passengers on buses 113 and 27. They were taken to Luohu People s Hospital and Shenzhen No. 1 People s Hospital. All suffered minor injuries except for a 6-year-old boy whose ear was seriously injured and a man who had his teeth broken, doctors said.
The driver of the No. 27 bus was not injured but did not know what caused the accident. He was involved in an accident six months ago and asked for a transfer for health reasons, but it was not approved.
