Fake iPhones

RESIDENTS have been warned to be cautious buying iPhones online. The Futian Consumer Council had received an increasing number of complaints from people who had recently bought fake iPhones online. Residents are advised to buy iPhones at authorized shops.

New museum

A NEW museum opened in Nanshan District on Saturday. The museum, in the Haosheng Commercial Center, houses hundreds of calligraphy works by masters from the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties as well as contemporary Chinese calligraphers. The museum is also a research center for Chinese calligraphy.

Cold to continue

MAXIMUM temperatures will remain at about 15 degrees Celsius in the next 10 days after cold fronts from the north continue to affect the city. Minimum temperatures will be under 10 degrees. Residents are reminded to keep warm.

Cave-in death

ONE man died and another was injured when they were buried under collapsed earth at a construction site in Bao an District on Friday night. Chinese-language media reports said the two men, identified only as Shi and Lian, were digging a pipe trench. Police are investigating.
