A LEARNER driver who accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake crashed into the office of a driving school, injuring a woman employee Monday.
According to a witness surnamed Liao, who was passing Shipei Driving School on Shangbao Road in Futian District at around 11 a.m., the woman learner was practicing parking when the car suddenly accelerated toward the office.
The car was slightly damaged and the woman employee was taken to Jingtian Hospital.
The learner driver was not injured. The driving instructor, Liang, who was not in the car at the time, refused to comment and attempted to prevent interviews by threatening reporters.
