A SHENZHEN anti-counterfeit association was set up Saturday to crack down on rampant counterfeit activities, protect consumers rights and boost the growth of brands, a meeting was told Saturday.
The association will facilitate the municipal government s fight against counterfeiting as government administrative reform deepens. It will help smooth communication and exchange between enterprises and government and better protect the rights of companies and consumers.
The major tasks of the association are to organize and coordinate social resources, facilitate government organs to crack down on counterfeiting, build an anti-counterfeit network with large and brand-name companies, protect brands and intellectual property rights, as well as guide enterprises to enhance their competitiveness.
The association will communicate with government departments to advise them of the complaints and needs of association members. A better market environment would hopefully be built for companies, association officials said.
