A LAW enforcement team in Xiangmihu Subdistrict in Futian District has removed chickens and coops from gardens in an up-market residential community.
The chickens were being kept by residents in the community where there were also illegal buildings and vegetable gardens, the Daily Sunshine reported yesterday.
The chickens were given [to me] by my employer s friends and I have been raising them for more than two years, a domestic helper from a villa said.
Vegetables were also planted on the green land occupied by the owner of the No. 21 villa, the paper said.
Residents were ordered to dismantle the vegetable gardens and remove fences as soon as possible or they would be forcibly removed.
The owners of four other villas were ordered to stop building illegal structures. (Li Hao)
