A MAN died after having an intravenous drip at a clinic in Bao an District last week.
The victim s wife, surnamed Zuo, went to the clinic Sunday demanding an explanation for her husband s death.
Zuo said her husband, Meng Qingliang, had a cold and doctors at the clinic prescribed him three bottles of intravenous drip on the evening of Jan. 18. Still feeling unwell, Meng went to the clinic the next day and had three more bottles of intravenous drip.
He kept saying he felt numb in his legs when he came home, Zuo said. He later took some pills and started foaming at the mouth.
Police have closed down the clinic and are questioning doctors.
