SHENZHEN residents can expect warm, sunny Spring Festival. The latest cold front from the north will weaken before Chinese Lunar New Year s Eve on Wednesday.
The new cold front is expected to affect the city from Friday night, bringing temperatures down to a minimum 6 degrees Celsius on Saturday morning, the city s meteorological observatory said.
It s very likely that residents can enjoy sunny New Year holidays after spending the holidays in the past few years in freezing, wet weather, said an unidentified specialist with the observatory, the Daily Sunshine reported Thursday. The cold front will weaken, raising minimum temperatures to around 12 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
The observatory said the weather during the seven-day break would be generally fine with day time temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius.
The cold front is expected to bring drizzle to the city as the mercury drops, according to the observatory. But the weather will be fine again after Saturday, the specialist said. (SD News)
