A parent talks to the principal of Lianhua Middle School over the merging of Lianhua and Gangxia middle schools at Lianhua school Wednesday night. More than 300 parents of Junior 2 students at the Lianhua school attended the meeting where they protested against the merger. Under the proposal, Lianhua Junior 2 students would have to attend Gangxia Middle School from September when the new school year begins.
