Brick shower
A WORKER was killed and another seriously injured after they were hit by bricks falling from a rooftop at a construction site in Bantian Subdistrict, Longgang District, on Wednesday morning.
The two workers were both natives of Guizhou Province. The 54-year-old female worker, Qin Changqun, died at the scene and Zhang Guwen, 23, was in stable condition after treatment at Shenzhen People s Hospital. The two were carrying construction waste onto an elevator when the bricks poured down from the top.
Police are investigating.
Workers buried
ONE worker was killed and another is in a stable condition after both were buried in a cave-in at a construction site in Guangming New Zone on Wednesday.
The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m. when the workers were digging a pipeline tunnel, according to a witness named Huang.
