Road death
A BUSINESSMAN was arrested for running over a security guard and injuring another in a car accident in Minzhi Subdistrict, Bao an District, at the weekend. The businessman, identified only as Yang, fled and later had two employees tell police that they were responsible for the death and injury. The two employees later admitted that Yang was responsible.
1 dead in pileup
A MOTORIST died and an electric bike rider was injured in a five-car pileup in Xixiang Subdistrict in Bao an yesterday. The identity of the deceased was not available last night. Police are investigating.
Fake beer
AN unlicensed factory was raided in Pingshan New Zone yesterday for allegedly producing and distributing fake Tsingtao beer and other beverages. More than 560 cases of fake Tsingtao beer, 230 cases of bottled mineral water and 40 cases of Red Bull Energy Drink were seized. An investigation is continuing.
