ROADS in Huaqiangbei are scheduled to be upgraded at the end of the month, the city transport commission said Sunday.
Work in the densely populated Huaqiangbei area would be done at night to minimize disruption to traffic, Southern Metropolis Daily reported.
The work is scheduled to be completed early next month and is part of the city s Universiade facelift.
The commission had also opened an additional seven bus stops in Huaqiangbei.
The transport commission will demolish six advertising billboards installed at Huaqiangbei bus stops, the paper said.
