With signature of the Supply Chain Coopration Announcement between China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) and European Foreign Trade Association (FTA), Chinese textile enterprises were going to release their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reports. In the Sino-EU Supply Chain Summit on Nov. 18 in Beijing, Sun Ruizhe, the Vice President of CNTAC said 10 Chinese enterprises agreed to join this program and were going to release their CSR reports including the working environment situation.

According to Sun, about 200 Chinese manufacturers had implemented the CSC9000T system since year 2007, which was promulgated by CNTAC. Ferry den Hoed, the President of FTA also commented that this system was as good as the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) from FTA.

The President also said FTA has inspected nearly 5000 enterprises. 70% of them are Chinese manufacturers. The investigation showed that most of the problems connected with working hours. Next year, FAT would continue the cooperation with CNTAC under the Announcement. According to Hoed, the CSR report under the CNTAC supervision had a stronger influence in the industry than FTA did so.
