American shooter Matthew Emmons just needed a 6.6 to be crowned in the men's 50-meter rifle three positions at the Beijing Olympic Games.

But he made a 4.4.

Gone was the gold, even the silver.

Final Results: Qiu Jian of China won the gold medal, Jury Sukhorukov of Ukraine the silver, and Rajmond Debevec of Slovenia de bronze. Emmons finished in fourth position.
