U.S Customs Intercepts Counterfeit Products in Los Angeles

According to Attorney Mr.Xinyu Lee in SSPO (Stein Shostak Shostak Pollack&O’Hara, LLP) Shanghai branch that are specialized in U.S. Customs laws, on April 8, U.S. Customs at the Port of Long Beach seized counterfeit products bearing the trademarks of Burberry, Giorgio Armani, Baby Phat, Dolce&Gabbana and TAG Heuer coming into the United States from China. “These two containers from China and importers declared as luggage”, said Kevin Weeks, Director of Los Angeles Port. Customs officers checked that are wearing apparel, hats, shoes, wallets, belts, jewelry and iPod (imitation) and claimed they are counterfeit. It is estimated that these products worth domestic value about 1.3 million U.S dollars and “manufacturer’s suggested retail price” (MSRP) more than 38 million U.S. dollars. Under U.S. law, in this case, the importers and other people involved may face to criminal proceedings and the fine.
