The 16th China International Clothing &Accessories Fair (CHIC) will be held in March 28, 2008. This is not only the show relocated place, but also with men’s and women’s garment showing at the same time. Moreover, it is change to new structure for China clothing industry.

The promotional work target of CHIC2008 is top brands special like men’s wear and casual wear. “Wenzhou Pavilion” and “Fujian Pavilion” has become the leaders in the past. Disney Corp. has 11 new brands to show and open cartoon area to promote its image. American Warner Company is the first time to participate in CHIC and promote snoopy series baby products. Hello kitty brand from Japan also appear in.
According to statistics, in China, under 16 child populations is around 380 million, accounting for one forth of total Chinese populace. Thus, consumption for children clothing is increasing by 8 percent each year. But, the yearly output of the same is just over 600 million pieces, which is far from enough. This data shows that kids’ apparel market in China has a huge business opportunity and more and more domestic and overseas enterprises have now started to invest in this industry.
