China:Market pressures are driving forces for FeiYue

At 8:00 pm at the opening of the 1st Session of the 11th NPC, an interview on Zhejiang delegation was held at the 1st-floor speech hall of the conference centre of Beijing Xindadu Hotel.
One hundred and seventeen media from home and abroad, such as People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, the United States Bloomberg news agency, and AFP, etc, with more than 200 reporters poured into the speech hall, even crowding the corridor.
Seven delegates of the Zhejiang delegation, including Qiu Jibao (president of Feiyue Group), Cai Qi (mayor of Hangzhou ), Mao Guanglie ( mayor of Ningbo), Yang Wei (president of Zhejiang University), Chen Xiao'en (director of the Office of Labour and Social Security ), Zhang Xinjian (general manager of China Telecom Zhejiang company), Li Dapeng (chairman of Kanglaite Group), answered reporters' questions on the theme of "Pioneering to enrich the people, innovating to strengthen the province". Secretary-General of Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee Yao Minsheng hosted the meeting.
When faced with the question "How would Feiyue, as an export-oriented enterprise, deal with the current business environment of the tightening monetary policy, declining export tax rebates , rising prices of raw materials, RMB appreciation and US dollars depreciation?", president Qiu replied that these factors were pressure but also driving force for Feiyue.
It would definitely be a dead end if Feiyue competes rivals with its superior position of large scale and low price as before which was just like "kick against the pricks".

Feiyue was concerned more on how to sell products more and fast in the past while now the emphasis was on how to sell at high prices with durability.
To achieve this goal, it's necessary to develop the ongoing innovation strategy, continuously adjust and optimize the product structure, and upgrade technical contents and added value under the guide of the scientific concept of development with advanced idea, technology and equipments as well as advanced management.
For example, in the past prices of the traditional household sewing machine with simple functions could hardly reach 100 yuan, with the weight of more than 50kgs, whereas Feiyue self-developed computer sewing machine weighes only one-tenth of the former one but the price has reached more than 1,000 US dollars, and are exported to the developed countries in Europe and America.
This is the result of independent innovation. Zhejiang's "Pioneering and Innovating" strategy endows an acess to the "scientific and innovative development" for Zhejiang enterprises.
After the interview, president Qiu was surrounded by reporters who demanded his business cards, and requested a separate interview with him.
AFP reporters said that the growing rationality and maturity of China's private enterprises showed by Feiyue plays a positive role to the realization of the fast and stable development of China's economy.
