News from the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of China in UK (ECCO of the Embassy of China in UK) said that on Jan 16th Chairman of Bosideng International Holdings Ltd. visited the ECCO of the Embassy of China in UK and gave a report on their opening stores in UK. The representative from Greenwoods, Bosideng's co-operative partner in UK, attended the meeting.
Bosideng menswear sector has recently signed an agreement with British apparel chain store Greenwoods to open Bosideng menswear stores in the country. Greenwoods will open first four stores under the brand name, which are set to open on 20th August, 2008.
Bosideng first met with Greenwoods in CHIC2004 (China International Clothing and Accessories Fair) in Beijing, and left the latter with a good impression with its products. Following further negotiations between the two sides, the brand entered Greenwoods in 2005, and generated better performance in the UK market in the following two years. However, as the shop-in-shop business cannot meet company's requirement for brand marketing, the company's leader decided to open menswear stores in the country and negotiate about increasing equity of Bosideng menswear in the UK market.
