Hong Kong : 'A Brave New World' fashion party coming soon

A fashion party entitled “A Brave New World” will be held on January 4, 2008 with 14 YD Alumni Club members presenting their creative collections and parading their unique perspectives on an ideal life.
The YD Alumni Club was created for all former winners and finalists of the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest (“YDC”), representing the dynamic force of the design industry.
At the show, the collections of the 18 finalists of the upcoming YDC to be held on January 14 will also be previewed.
This year, YDC’s high-profile judging panel is led by Maria Luisa Trussardi, President of Finos SpA, the financial holding of the Trussardi Group, and Tsumori Chisato, the renowned Japanese fashion designer.

- 7:30pm Cocktail (Designers participating in the fashion show will attend the cocktail and take press interviews)
- 8pm Fashion Show: A Brave New World
- Participating designers: Vic Cheung, Ruby Chui, Chow Tan Tan, Walter Kong, Hin Lee, Kevin Ng, Baldwin Pui, Otto Tang, Isabel Tong, Harrison Wong, Jacky Wong, Kurtis Wong, Ben Yan and Yeung Shiu Cheung
- Guest models: Eunis Chan, Severa M, Ana R, Amanda Strang, Rosemary V, Lynn Xiong and Mikki Yao
“Love from Hong Kong” Lifestyle Exhibition Coinciding with the fashion party is a lifestyle exhibition entitled “Love from Hong Kong” which was featured at the Tokyo Designers’ Week 2007 in October this year.

Ten Hong Kong designers and companies that participated in the exhibition include: this year’s guest curator Amazing Angle Design Consultants; fashion brand FAIT A MAIN; fashion designers Henry Lau, Ranee K, Ruby Li and Miggy Cheng; multimedia designer Lau Chi-chung, graphics designer Tsang Kin-wah; sculptor Wong Tin-yan; and RMM.
