FUQI International Inc announced the hiring of Ms. Jianying Li to serve in the newly established position of Director, Retail Operations for FUQI International Inc.
Ms. Li has over 25 years serving in various senior level retail positions. Since 1999, Ms. Li served as the Vice President of Sales at the Beijing Sogo department store, a high-end department store, established by the Japanese- based chain.
In this role, her primary responsibility was to manage the international luxury brand store counters which included Artier, Lancel, Tumi, Montblanc, Swarovski, Bally, Dunhill, Celine, Ferragamo, Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder, Chanel, Lancome, and Dior as well as local jewelry brands from Hong Kong and mainland China.
During her tenure, annual retail sales of the store counters she managed rose steadily reaching over RMB500 million in 2007.
From 1998 to 1999, she served as a Department Manager of Sales at Beijing Parkson Light Industrial Development Co Ltd, a retailer with over 30 stores in China.
In this role, Ms. Li was in charge of the 5,000 square meter jewelry and luxury department in the 80,000 square meter Beijing store.
From 1991 to 1998, Ms. Li served as Department Manager of the jewelry retail division at the Municipal Trading Center in Beijing, which is the largest department store in a chain of Municipal Trading Center department stores located throughout China.
Ms. Li began her working career in 1980with Beijing Yanjing Book and Painting Store, a large antique store that sells jade, gold, platinum jewelry, paintings and craftsmanship products, where she spent eleven years working in several managerial positions. Ms. Li received her degree in economic management from the Beijing Institute of Administrative Education.
