A delegation representing Scotland textile brands like Begg Scotland, Holland & Sherry, Johnstons, Mackintosh and Todd & Duncan, are planning to visit China this week for reviewing the top-grade consumers market. These companies target to set up Scotland brands in China.
These textile brands are already well established in the Japanese market and now they are eyeing the huge Chinese fashionable home textile market, which is worth about US $4 billion on an annual basis, with a year-on-year growth rate of 10 percent. With the rising number of middle class in the cities and their increased income has led to this boost.
Representatives of these companies will meet the agents and the retailers of Chinese fashionable products for understanding the prevailing market trend. After this they would chalk out plans for setting up the brand image and introducing new promotional ways.
