Canton Trade Fair (GTF) 102nd session will open today and conclude on October 30 in Guangzhou. Exhibition area for imports has further expanded this session to 15,000 square meters, representing an increase of 50 percent over last session.
As for the import exhibition area for enterprises from other countries, fair is expected to boast 9 product sections, including machinery equipment, vehicles and accessories, with an exhibition area reaching 15,000 square meters, an increase of 50 percent from the previous session, and 849 standard booths, an increase of 220 from the previous session.
Over 480 corporate exhibitors from a total of 57 countries and regions are participating in the import exhibition of this fair, including 17 enterprises from nine LDCs. Among them, the countries and regions with top 5 number of participating enterprises are China Taiwan (107), Malaysia (56), South Korea (52), China Hongkong (49), the US (23) and Singapore (23).
In addition, the trade fair this year has also adopted a new protection measure of intellectual property rights. The ‘responsibility for using the booth of Guangzhou Trade Fair’ has inserted the contents of GTF intellectual property protection methods and measures, which participating enterprises have promised to abide. It has also added the punishment provision of permanent abolition for exhibitor's qualification.
It is learned that the exhibition area for export pavilion at this trade fair is 620,000 square meters, with 31156 standard booths, an increase of 103 over the previous session. Chinese exhibitors are 14,574 enterprises in total, an increase of 144 from the previous session.
