Recently, the Department of Commerce organized a meeting, where textile and clothing export enterprises gathered to discuss export management methods of the Chinese textile products to EU for 2008.
All textile export enterprises are eagerly waiting for the issuance of the 2008 export management methods, as they have to chalk out the trade strategies for the coming year. It is expected that the Government will release these methods soon.
Experts assume that if the EU lifts the quota limits on Chinese textiles, exports to the country will jump sharply. Besides, few Chinese textile enterprises that are enjoying export quotas are not favouring the total abolishment of restrictions.
This will cause instability among the domestic traders and hamper the interest of both the countries. Thus, the Chinese Government in order to avoid such confusion will be planning a course of proper exports to EU.
