Due to unstable trade environment and stringent technical barriers in Europe and America, Chinese textile enterprises have begun paying close attention to other countries as possible export targets.
Russia has emerged as a viable option and local textile manufacturers are chalking out ways to establish a safe and wider export channel to that country.
The Russian export market has recently attained a level of stability. Even the Russian Government has done its bit by formulating policies to help Russia's textile sector. Russia is also planning to join WTO next year.
In order to help China understand Russian economy, a seminar called 'China Year' was held, which was attended by presidents of both the countries.
The Governments of China and Russia have said that trade value of the two countries would increase to US $35 billion from the current $27 billion.
