Hong Kong : AEPC-CITA to organize 'Pattern Making and Grading Programme'

Pattern making and grading programme is an integral tool to increase productivity in the Apparel Manufacturing, Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) in association with Clothing Industry Training Authority (CITA), Hong Kong is organizing training programme of 10 days in Hong Kong from 20 to 29th September, 2007 to optimize the efficiency level of the Pattern makers.
The programme consist of:
• CITA will expose trainees to overview on responsibility and skill requirement of trainers. It will cover pre-training task such as selection and orientation and basic requirement of skill for pattern makers.
• The programme will define duties of pattern makers, functions of pattern and methods of producing pattern.
• It will explore relation between pattern, pattern size and 3D body measurement.
• The programme content will define size specification for different groups, body matrix and 2D pattern design for tops, pants and pattern modifications.
• Fitting faults and their remedies along with analysis comments, corrections and remedies.
• The programme will include principle of grading and methods used in the process.
• The module will conclude with preparation of training manual.
AEPC invites nominations from apparel export members to participate in the training Programme.
