On July 31, France Auchan Group, one among of strongest of global 500 enterprises and transnational retail magnates, organized a shoes purchasing meet in Wenzhou city. However, only around 40 footwear companies took part in this event. Manufacturers of some categories like children shoes, canvas shoes and sports shoes did not attend at all.
Auchan said that they required best quality at lowest prices, with delivery in a short time and long-term payment plan. Some shoes manufacturers thought, it was very difficult to accept such terms.
Several others reasoned that though the profit was very limited to cooperate, the purchase quantity would be very big and stable and the products could enter the global market in a short time.
Wenzhou City’s Center for the Promotion of International Investment expressed, the enterprises would not cooperate with such international magnates if they had already had a mature marketing network overseas.
However, for some small and middle shoes enterprises, which had just begun export business, it would be a good choice to cooperate with France Auchan Group.
