Stuart Harbinson, Special Adviser at the WTO to Pascal Lamy, said it all when he closed his address on behalf of the Director General at PSF 2007 with these words:
'Your sector of trade is now, as ever, a laboratory for many issues which arise in international trade. This is because it is global in reach, highly responsive in nature and - dare I say - at the cutting edge of many of the issues. Gatherings like this are therefore extremely useful.'
Prime Source Forum (PSF), held in Hong Kong, is the annual meeting place for the 'movers and shakers' of the global apparel industry - the people to whom you need to talk to make your business even more successful. Stuart Harbinson hit the nail on the head when he referred to PSF as a 'gathering' because the event truly is a Forum in the original meaning of the word. Sessions on current issues are each led by moderators, with short presentations by distinguished industry specialists, followed by a discussion between panelists and delegates.
