China’s National Development and Reform Commission reported that daily rail shipments for the month of May totaled 139,270 cars, a record high and an increase of 7.5 percent year-on-year. The total tonnage was a whopping 263 million tons, an increase of 7.7 percent year-on-year. Daily shipments for cotton, however, were down 14.3 percent year-on-year.
